Nadja Wallington coaxes something genuinely beautiful from Orange's ancient volcanic soils- wild-fermented, kissed with residual sugar that dissolves into racy acidity, trailing jasmine, mandarin peel and crushed quartz. One of the most exciting Rieslings being made in Australia right now.

2022 Deep Valley Blaufrankisch- Derwent Valley, TAS

A collaboration between Steve and Marco Lubiana, grown biodynamically on grey gravel soils in the Derwent Valley and made with a winemaker's restraint and a rebel's instinct. Dark cherry, violets and earthy spice.

Andrew Shanahan

Andrew Shanahan DipWSET spent five years roasting coffee before wine got hold of him, a background that taught him early on about sourcing the best ingredients, attention to detail and an appreciation of one of life's simple pleasures.

He cut his teeth at Ragazzi Wine & Pasta, working his way up to Head Sommelier, before joining NOMAD as Head Sommelier in 2026. Here he maintains one of Sydney's benchmark Australian wine lists and is driven by restless curiosity, searching far and wide for the producers worth knowing, while never losing sight of the estates that set the benchmark in the first place. Old hands and new stars, held in careful balance."
