22 Yards is an independently owned, intimate wine bar and restaurant in the centre of York. With stunning views of York Minster, 22 Yards is very much a wine led restaurant. Each bottle on our wine list is hand chosen with thought and care, including our “wine specials wall” of 12 wines that rotate weekly. An excellent selection of wines by the glass is our speciality.

We are not just an ordinary wine bar. We have over 150 different wines and approximately 70 labels by the glass.

Aromatic notes of wildflowers, golden apples & tropical fruits with minerality & a crisp, spicy finish. Cultivated at altitude with organic & biodynamic practice & aged in steel tanks for 7 months without oak to preserve the Carricante characteristics.

Luis Pato 'Vinha Pan' Tinto 2016

A single vineyard red from this excellent wine producer from the Bairrada region of Portugal made from the Baga grape, which has been compared to Nebbiolo. Bags of red fruits, leather,dried fig, licorice & eucolyptus on the nose with chocolate, cherries & dried berried on the palate.
