Ruinart Rosé (Champagne, France)

Ruinart is the oldest established Champagne house, founded in 1729. Its Rosé is built on a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier, and the house is known for treating rosé as a serious, integral part of its range rather than an afterthought. It's a Champagne with real pedigree behind the name, a good pick for anyone wanting bubbles with history.

Clos Mogador, (Priorat, Spain)

Clos Mogador, made by René Barbier, is one of the estates credited with reviving Priorat as a serious wine region in the 1980s and 90s. This bottling blends Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on the region's distinctive slate ("llicorella") soils. It's a wine with deep roots in Priorat's modern story, a great pour for anyone curious about how the region earned its reputation.
