In the heart of Borgo Pio (San Pietro), Taverna Angelica is a contemporary family tavern where creative cooking, wine, and hospitality come together in an intimate and relaxed setting. Our concept of dining is born from the desire to tell the story of Rome and the local area through an ever-evolving cuisine with creativity, accompanied by a curious and personal wine exploration.

Our menu features about 20 to 25 wines by the glass and is constantly evolving, just like the selections offered by the glass. Coravin allows us to explore great labels and small producers, but above all to use it in tasting journeys, creating ever-changing pairings with the daily offerings. The wine list follows the cuisine and renews with it, giving rise to different pairings.

Etna Bianco – Terre Nere, Etna DOC 2023

Carricante and other indigenous grape varieties of Etna, elegant and mineral, with aromas of citrus, white flowers, and a pleasant savoriness. A vertical and territorial white wine, capable of expressing the uniqueness of the volcano.

Barolo – Giuseppe Rinaldi, 2019

A great Piedmontese classic, austere and profound, with aromas of rose, cherry, spices, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is elegant, complex, and persistent, an authentic expression of Nebbiolo.

Cesanese di Affile – Damiano Ciolli, 2022

A signature grape variety of Lazio, intense and territorial, with notes of small red fruits, violet, and spices. Fresh, juicy, and refined, it represents one of the most interesting and lesser-known expressions of the Lazio region.

Francesco Amore is a sommelier and head waiter at Taverna Angelica in Rome. Passionate about wine and the local area, he loves to seek out small producers, indigenous grape varieties, and lesser-known realities. His wine list is dynamic and personal, designed to surprise the guest. Thanks to Coravin, he enhances the pouring experience by offering rare and prestigious wines by the glass.
