Opheem opened its doors in 2018 as Aktar Islam’s first solo restaurant, exploring Indian flavours rooted in heritage as well as personal experience. Earning a second star after just five years, Opheem has always strived to create an experience centred on interaction, exceptional flavour, and discovery.

The list at Opheem is constantly evolving, always showcasing high quality wines with a focus on the unknown and unfamiliar. In a restaurant with such distinctive cuisine, the wine list continues to change to offer something new for guests to enjoy by the glass and by the bottle. Stefan Liperowski

Our Head Sommelier, Stefan, is originally from Tbilisi but spent 15 years in the ambitious wine scene of Krakow before moving to the UK. With a career dedicated to exploring wines from all over the world, he joined the restaurant in 2022 as Head Sommelier. Stefan and the team love to explore different grapes, countries, and regions, and are always happy to discover hidden gems where no one expects them.
