Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie — Restaurant in Bangkok
Outstanding Rating

Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie

Restaurant · 48 Oriental Ave, Khwaeng Khlong Ton Sai, Khet Bang Rak, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10500

Bangkok's original French fine-dining room has been serving since 1958, high in the Tower Wing of the Mandarin Oriental with the Chao Phraya below. Anne-Sophie Pic now leads it, working alongside head chef Tamaki Kobayashi, and the Michelin Guide Thailand promoted the restaurant to two stars in its 2026 edition. The wine side belongs to head sommelier Edwin Cochet, who trained at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons and at Maison Pic in Valence. His list runs the length of France: Champagne and Burgundy at the grand end, Bordeaux and the Rhône for the main courses, with Alsace, the Loire, Jura and Provence supplying the less expected pours. More than forty wines are available by the glass, among them a Vacheron Sancerre and a Saint-Joseph from Gripa. For a river-view dinner with serious French wine, few Bangkok addresses carry this much history.

Côte by Mauro Colagreco — Restaurant in Bangkok
Outstanding Rating

Côte by Mauro Colagreco

Restaurant · 300/2 Charoenkrung Road, Yannawa, Sathorn, Bangkok 10120 Thailand

Mauro Colagreco's Bangkok restaurant sits on the second floor of the Capella, with the Chao Phraya filling the windows and Italian chef Davide Garavaglia, a Mirazur veteran, running the kitchen. The Michelin Guide Thailand awarded Côte two stars in 2026 for Riviera cooking that leans on seafood, olive oil and whatever is in season. Head sommelier Sabino Iacobone keeps the list Old World at heart, and Champagne is where it excels: grower bottlings sit beside the grand houses, with Burgundy, and Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from further afield, plus a solid Italian section. Forty-three wines are poured by the glass, so a pairing can be assembled course by course without committing to bottles. Star Wine List singles out the range of styles and price points as one of the widest in the city. Corkage is offered for guests who arrive with their own bottle.

The Wine Merchant Park Silom — Restaurant in Bangkok
Outstanding Rating

The Wine Merchant Park Silom

Restaurant · 1 Convent Rd, Si Lom, Khet Bang Rak, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10500

Convent Road, where Silom's office towers begin, is home to the Wine Merchant group's most ambitious bar, set inside the Park Silom development. It works as shop and bar at once, so bottles line the room and the kitchen keeps to charcuterie, cheese and pasta. Star Wine List handed the venue five gold stars at its 2026 Southeast Asia awards, among them Best Bordeaux List and Best By-the-Glass List, and the pour list is where the depth shows. Between 35 and 40 wines are open on a given day, from Barolo and Champagne to German Riesling in its sweetest late-harvest forms, with Bordeaux across many vintages at prices the judges called competitive. Manager and sommelier Methawin Thanetworaarporn runs the floor. An after-work glass and a serious tasting sit equally comfortably here.

Cannubi by Umberto Bombana — Restaurant in Bangkok
Excellent Rating

Cannubi by Umberto Bombana

Restaurant · 98 Thanon Rama IV, Si Lom, Khet Bang Rak, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10500

Umberto Bombana, the chef behind Hong Kong's three-star 8½ Otto e Mezzo, opened his Bangkok restaurant inside the Dusit Thani hotel on Rama IV Road, on the edge of Silom. The room is softly lit and looks onto a waterfall, and the cooking earned a Michelin star in the Thailand guide soon after arriving in 2025. Wine, though, is the reason to book. Head sommelier Charles Rodenstein oversees a cellar of some 350 labels with Piedmont at its centre, including a deep run of Barolo from the Cannubi vineyard that gives the restaurant its name, alongside Super-Tuscans and bottles from Etna. Star Wine List named it Best Italian Wine List in Southeast Asia, and then globally, in 2026. Burgundy and Bordeaux sections look after Francophile guests, and more than twenty wines are poured by the glass.

Charmkrung — Restaurant in Bangkok
Hidden Gem Rating

Charmkrung

Restaurant · 6th floor 839 Charoenkrung Road, Samphanthawong, Bangkok 10100

Up on the sixth floor of an unremarkable former industrial block in Talad Noi, Charmkrung is the second restaurant from chef-owner Jai and the team behind Charmgang. The cooking is Thai, sharp-flavoured and made for sharing, served across a big open room where bar counters suit solo diners as well as tables suit groups. Sommelier Kiki Sontiyart came to wine from the kitchen, having cooked with David Thompson at Aaharn in Hong Kong, and it shows in how the list is assembled. Around 150 bottles mix classic benchmarks with natural wines, all chosen to stand up to chilli and fish sauce: Alsace and German whites, Loire and Rhône reds, pét-nat, sherry and a rotating dessert wine. Seventeen wines come by the glass, a Zind-Humbrecht Pinot Gris among them. Star Wine List gave it Best Short List in Southeast Asia for 2026.
