Suburban based wine bar catering for casual, dinning and chef's table bar seating. Low lit with a reverence for music that has moved us. The food is a nod to refined gastro pub dishes. Wines we like, beers brewed close, a short cocktail list with the season in mind. Bottles open and pours change as we find what is drinking well, ask at the bar for a steer or to view the reserve wine list.

Hayez has a global wine list priced to encourage the local suburban custom to new wine styles. Including table side tasting of three or five wines from 4 to 6pm poured with Coravin.

No formal WSET or guild accredited training. I have a passion for viticulture and have spent time on the land in Central Otago. Over 25 years of experience including London with NZ owned The Modern Pantry. NZ worked for Smith & Sheth Wines under the steer or Steve Smith MW, Cellar 495 with Mike Henley MW and numerous acclaimed hospitality venues in Hawkes Bay, Central Otago.
