Founded in 2023 by mother-daughter duo Alex and Sandra, Vinoteca was inspired by Alex’s time studying winemaking in Italy. Rooted in a love for wine, family, and community, we created a welcoming space to bring people together through wine. From timeless classics to hidden gems, we invite guests to explore new wines, share stories, and create lasting memories, one glass at a time.

We offer 27 wines by the glass, from sparkling and crisp whites to light reds, bold reds, and port. Our ever-changing, predominantly Italian selection highlights small producers and lesser-known varietals. We love introducing guests to unexpected alternatives to familiar favorites, encouraging discovery beyond the traditional wine list.

Suavia Soave Classico – Veneto, Italy

A beautiful expression of Garganega from the volcanic hills of Soave. Crisp, elegant, and refreshing, with notes of citrus, white flowers, and a subtle minerality. We love introducing this wine to guests who typically reach for Pinot Grigio—it’s a wonderful way to discover something new while staying within a familiar style.

Gorghi Tondi Rosa dei Venti

A refreshing Sicilian rosé made from native Nerello Mascalese grapes. Delicate yet expressive, with notes of fresh strawberries, citrus, and Mediterranean herbs. It’s a beautiful introduction to one of Sicily’s lesser-known grape varieties and a perfect choice for guests looking to explore beyond their usual rosé.

Primonero Negroamaro

A bold yet approachable red from Southern Italy, showcasing the character of Puglia’s native Negroamaro grape. Bursting with dark berries, ripe cherries, and subtle spice, this wine offers richness without being overly heavy. A great alternative for guests who typically enjoy Cabernet Sauvignon or other full-bodied reds.

Alexandra McDonnell

Alexandra McDonnell is the founder and co-owner of Vinoteca. She earned her Master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology from Università Cattolica in Piacenza, Italy. Since opening Vinoteca in 2023, she has curated its ever-evolving wine program, with a passion for showcasing unique Italian varietals. Some of her current favorites include Soave Classico, Valpolicella, and Negroamaro.
