20 seater casual fine dining restaurant located in the heart of the GC. Offering a 4 course share style tasting menu with a focus on local and native produce. Wine pairing is optional with each pairing tailored to your preferences.

We pour approximately 20 wines by the glass at any one time. We have written our list to compliment the menu that is offered. If a dish changes the by the glass offering will change as well to ensure we are always having the best pairings available.

Gentlefolk, Piccadilly Chardonnay

A true Chardonnay, toasted oak, hints of acidity, round and lush. A chardonnay that can hold up against a bigger dish, but could easily also be enjoyed on its own.

Shannon Stewart

Shannon and her husband Tim opened The North Room nearly 10 years ago. Shannon’s focus of her wine program is to showcase small, predominantly Australian producers. The list reflects the food, young bright and fresh. For the past 25 years Shannon has run venues and wine programs in SE QLD as well as Vic.
Her focus has always been the same, if it doesn’t suit the food, it doesn’t get listed.
