2021 Trinity Hill, Homage Syrah, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand

This rare wine is a bench mark for NZ Syrah. Named in recognition of Gerard Jaboulet, whom worked with the founding wine maker John Hancock. John produced this wine from the now famous, then unknown Gimblett Gravels and since Warren Gibson took over in the mid 2010's it has maintained its prestige. Weighty and elegant, with long textural display. Red and black fruit then a lingering earthy minerality and undertones of herbal notes. Last bottles in the country in our cellar!

2024 Kumeu River 'Rays' Road, Chardonnay, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand

Due to pressure in Auckland's North Western suburbs, Kumeu River expanded into Central and Southern Hawkes Bay. Hidden on this western area of the region, lies a limestone plinth that sits under a mix of volcanic and loess clays. The vineyard was purchased and replanted in in the early 2010's with the first vintage being 2017. The wine shows MW Michael Brajkovich's classic pure wine expression emulating aspects of the Kumeu home vineyards, but with more citrus intensity evident.

2010 Vinoptima Gewurztraminer, Gisborne, New Zealand

Founded by Nick Nobilo in 2000, a winery focused only on Gewurztraminer was a risk. Closing in 2017 with the last commercial release being 2011. This rich spicy wine, almost decadent in its weight, displays depth and harmony. Sweeter with layered unctuous flows of flavour this wine will fill the mouth with delight. Perfect for Duck Liver Parfait or a decadent chocolate dessert. Superb.

Jeremy has over 30 years in the wine and Hospitality industry. In 2008 he completed his Court of Masters Sommelier Certification as top candid for the New Zealand region, and in the Top 10 of the candidates for the Australasian region. Since then Jeremy has cemented himself in the industry and helped found the NZ Wine Professionals and Sommeliers Association and held Secretary position until 2022
