The Beckford Bottle Shop & Bistro is a contemporary wine merchant and a warm meeting place to find, try and buy wine. Take refuge on our red sofa, travel the world through our shelves, or take a seat in our bistro, where you’ll find Michelin Bib Gourmand-winning sharing plates, British cheese and charcuterie boards, and over thirty wines by the glass.

We offer a rotating list of 30+ wines by the glass, plus special pours that change every few weeks, and over 500 bottles to choose from if you’d like to share. We source from suppliers nationwide and import several of our own-label wines from France and Italy. Our BTG specials range from fun, affordable bubbly to sherries, fortified wines, and even magnums of mature Super Tuscans.

'Corallion' Classic Cuvee, Langham Estate - Dorset, UK

Our favourite sparkling wine producer in the UK. Langham's ethos of low intervention wine-making and attention to detail delivers traditional method wines of exceptional quality, and that are true reflections of the land. The 'Corallion' not only stands up to the fullness and brightness of great Champagne, but brings a nutty and tangy saline complexity to the palate as well.

'Lo Sang Del Pais', Domaine du Cros Marcillac 2023 - Marcillac, France

A rustic, Southern French red made from the local Mansois grape variety. Its full of bright red berries, spice and a good dose of tannin. Super moreish.

'UBE El Reventon' Ramiro Ibanez 2023 - Jerez, Spain

A fantastic and complex white wine from sherry country, made with such precision and deliberateness. This Palomino is aged both biologically, under a layer of 'Flor' yeast, and oxidatively in large oak barrels. Fresh and saline with bright green apples, and a savoury, almond finish.

Ben has spent the last five years working in and out of the independent on- and off-trade, and now curates the selection at The Beckford Bottle Shop. In his free time, you can find him in the vineyards of Northern Portugal, helping with harvests, pruning and stomping on grapes.
