Alongside Rockpool's extensive cellar there is a collection of 80+ wines by the glass to choose from, a comprehensive selection from iconic regions and grape varieties from around the globe. 2024 Soalheiro ‘Granit’ Monção e Melgaço Alvarinho, Vinho Verde, Portugal

Our guests always ask "what wines drink well at the moment" or "present the best value". This is surely one of them. An exceptional wine in its price category, combining vibrant, energetic fruit with striking minerality and precision. Its subtle leesy creaminess reminds me of a great Chablis or Muscadet, but above all, it's simply delicious and fun to drink.

2025 Alkina ‘Estate’ Semillon, Barossa Valley, South Australia

This wine has a beautifully waxy texture, crisp acidity and just enough texture to give it real presence. It's a brilliant food wine, with an intriguing interplay of fruit and a gentle savouryness. It almost drinks like a Chardonnay, but without the presence of oak.

2019 Isole e Olena ‘Collezione Privata' Syrah, Tuscany, Italy

The 2019 Isole e Olena is Syrah is a delightful expression of everything I love in great Syrah: dark fruit, spice, cracked pepper, crushed stone and a lift from some floral notes, all wrapped in a soft and creamy texture. It's a kind of wine I can easily picture alongside a beautiful steak on the bone straight from our wood-fired grill.

Christian has 25 years of international hospitality experience. His career stints include The Dorchester Hotel (London, UK) Schlosshotel Fuschl (Salzburg, AUT) The Observatory Hotel, Jonah’s Restaurant (Sydney, AUS) and the Riedel Wine Bar (Bangkok, THA). He achieved Dux of the CMS Advanced class in 2017 and was placed 2nd in the inaugural 'Sommelier Edit' Australia 2026.
