Rimu Wine Bar is the ultimate destination for wine lovers, with an ever changing range of over 50 different wines available for tasting or by the glass from all around Nelson, New Zealand and the world. We also offer tasting platters for numerous gins and whiskeys and have craft beers, ports and spirits for those looking to explore something new as well as pizzas and platters available.

We pour over 50 wines by the glass, with a keen focus on wines from the Nelson/Tasman region. We also have a wide selection of wines available by the bottle (>200) from New Zealand, Australia and the rest of the world with rare and older vintages for the wine connoisseur. These wines are also available at retail prices to take away.

Rimu Grove Chardonnay 2020

Very limited and drinking beautifully, the 2020 Rimu Grove Chardonnay has an inviting nose with white peaches, roasted almond, vanilla cream and biscotti aromas. These carry through to the engaging palate with its layered elegant textures and concentrated scrumptious flavours, and a lingering classic dry finish.

Synergy Reserve Pinot Noir 2015

Very rare and limited, the Rimu Grove Synergy is produced only in the best years (only 4 made in 20 years). Michael Cooper had this to say: “The powerful 2015 vintage was estate-grown at Moutere and French oak-matured. Deep and bright in colour, it is rich and complex, with concentrated, very ripe plum/spice flavours, hints of herbs and nuts, silky-smooth tannins and great depth through the palate. Drink now or cellar. 5-Stars”

Patrick Stowe

Winemaker & owner Patrick Stowe was born and raised in the Napa Valley. Patrick studied biochemistry and microbiology, qualifications that earned him a career in medical research for 25 years. Rimu Grove was the culmination of a life-long dream to create great wines, and Stowe has produced great wines including award winning chardonnay and highly sought after Pinot Noir and flavoursome aromatics.
