Onslow pairs a sophisticated setting with a spirit of discovery. Our wine experience celebrates New Zealand producers alongside international benchmarks, with Coravin opening the door to exceptional wines by the glass. From Champagne to distinctive cellar selections, there’s something for curious drinkers and seasoned wine lovers alike.

We pour 30 wines by the glass, balancing New Zealand character with international classics and discoveries. Highlights include Krug Grande Cuvée, Foradori Teroldego and a Coravin Cellar Selection offered in 75ml and 150ml pours, featuring Black Estate ‘Netherwood’, Yalumba ‘Octavius’, Hans Herzog Nebbiolo and Ata Rangi ‘McCrone Vineyard’.

Kenzie 'Mangatahi' Albariño, Hawke's Bay 2024

Wild fermentation and nine months in old French oak bring texture and savoury complexity to bright stone fruit, citrus and a gently saline finish. A lovely discovery for guests who enjoy fresh whites with a little more depth.
Hawke's Bay (especially the Two Terraces vineyard) has started producing some great Albarino's and this is one of them!

Hans Herzog Nebbiolo, Marlborough 2018

Hans Herzog grows 25 grape varieties on his organic Marlborough estate, championing grapes seldom seen in New Zealand. Just 588 bottles of this Nebbiolo were made. Aged for 40 months in older French oak, it combines floral aromas and cherry fruit with wild herbs, truffle and fine tannins—a chance to explore this Italian classic through a New Zealand lens.

MV Krug Grande Cuvée 173ème Édition

A chance to experience Krug by the glass, a rarity in New Zealand. The 173ème Édition blends 150 wines from 13 different years, spanning 2001–2017. Josh, a Krug Ambassade chef, has created a dish especially for this Édition: a warm Comté tart with tart apple and walnut.

Leah Kirkland, Sam Holmes, Kat Ziehe

Onslow’s wine team brings together individual strengths. Leah joined as Beverage Manager in 2023, overseeing Onslow, Gilt and Lottie’s. Sam rose through the ranks to Head Sommelier in 2026 and loves finding older vintages from NZ’s great producers. Kat progressed from Junior Sommelier to Sommelier, leads wine training and has a gift for guiding guests through the list.
