A short walk from London Bridge, on the edge of one of the UK’s foremost food markets, Hawksmoor’s Borough steak restaurant is a buzzing place, serving some of the best steak and seafood in London. The restaurant itself is in a former hops warehouse and auction hall, which lends a unique character among the top steakhouses in Borough.

Our lists evolve constantly - fresh finds, rare parcels, and the thrill of drinking something you won’t see again next season. We will have fresh finds site-by-site that we don’t publish online. We offer 25-30 wines by the glass, ranging from everyday favourites through elegant regionals to rare, Coravin-only treasures. Steeped in London’s East End history, our list pairs smoky steaks with audacious bottle bets — every glass tells part of our story.

Clara Rubin

Clara oversees Hawksmoor’s wine program with one foot in fine dining and the other firmly under the steak restaurant table. She judges at international competitions, teaches WSET, she’s occasionally wheeled out on podcasts or radio to talk about grapes, and has picked up a few awards along the way - but mostly she’s here to make sure the lists feel clever, consistent, and never, ever boring.
