GLASS HIGHLIGHTS

Subject to availability*

2023 Riesling, Kanaan Winery, Ningxia, China

If you haven't tasted any wines from China, a familiar variety from this emerging yet still lesser-known region is a good place to start. A dry-style Riesling with aromas of grapefruit, green apple and lime blossom with a slight hint of petrol, delicate, juicy and refreshing!

2023 Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills, Domaine Drouhin, Oregon, USA

Complex and expressive on the nose, the wine opens up with a mix of dark cherry and plum, rose petals and leaves a long and savoury finish with structured tannins. If one still believes that Pinot Noir from California might lack elegance and finesse, this is a wine that could change his/her mind.

2012 Vin Liastos, Monemvasia Winery Tsimbidi, Greece

This rare dessert wine was renowned worldwide throughout the Middle-Ages, but in the 16th century the vineyards were destroyed and production ceased. Thankfully, this legendary wine has been revived after 5 centuries by Tsimbidi. A blend of Monemvasia, Kydonitsa, Asproudi and Assyrtiko, the grapes were sun-dried for 12 days before aging for a minimum of 2 years in barriques after fermentation. As the Decanter judges said, "a luxurious modern taste of a medieval Mediterranean treat."
