Cade Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

The wine that made me fall in love with wine! With notes of blackberry, blueberry, cassis and dark cherry, framed by cassis licorice and a touch of graphite. This is a wine that pairs with every single one of our steak offerings. I hope that it will bring you as much joy as it did me tasting it for the first time!

Poggio al Tesoro "Sondraia" Bolgheri Super Tuscan

A classic Super Tuscan, bold, rich and complex, featuring dark fruit, a touch of spices (clove and black pepper), with a hint of mocha and leather. This is an exceptional wine to try if you are someone who primarily enjoy's California Cabs. A beautiful introduction to Italy, Tuscany and the Old World.

Bellflower Arc by Hartford Court Russian River Pinot Noir

This Pinot Noir is made specifically for Mastro's and you can only have it at one of our locations. An exceptional Russian River Pinot Noir featuring black cherry, plum, blackberry, mocha and a light note of brioche. I love this wine as it has just a hint of violet adding an extra layer of complexity. Enjoyable on it's own and a great partner to one of our Prime, 28 day aged steaks, offering a rich, supple mouthfeel with every sip!

Samy Tann

Samy is fairly new to the wine world, having started as a line cook who worked his way into upper management, opening restaurants in the Orange County area. His career has spanned setting-up bar, wine, and sake programs before finding his way to Mastro's. Having a newfound appreciation for wine and translating his skills from the bar and sake program has helped him on his journey to Wine Director at the Mastro's Costa Mesa location that he joined early 2025. Cade Howell Mountain Cabernet is what really made him fell in love with the wine world and he has been in love ever since that first sip.
