The boutique winery of Santa Maria La Nave on Mount Etna was established by Giuseppe Mulone in 1954. A rare local variety, Grecanico Dorato, is produced in small quantities, from dramatic surroundings, the tiny one-hectare vineyard situated on the northwestern slopes of Mount Etna. A bright and fine mountain wine delivering explosive aromatics of Etna apple before delicate scents of white peach, pineapple and citrus notes, finishing with vanilla and white pepper.

Once secondary to Garnatxa in Priorat, Carinyena now shines for its wild, distinctive character. From old vines rooted in jet-black Llicorella slate, this powerful red offers blackcurrant pastille, mulberry, and blueberry, layered with the region’s signature wild herbs — thyme and rosemary. A thrilling wine that could only come from such a unique landscape.

North of Santa Barbera, the Sanford & Benedict vineyard lies just ten miles from the Pacific Ocean and has long been renowned for producing excellent Chardonnay grapes. Barrel-fermented in oak, this is a luxurious and elegant Chardonnay with enticing notes of grilled peach, lemon and toasted hazelnuts. The palate of bright fruit and honeycomb is beautifully framed by crisp acidity and has a rich texture that carries through to the long, clean finish.
