In Pinheiros, the wine bar scene thrives on serene residential lanes, championing producers rather than big names. Among São Paulo's western neighbourhoods, these 7 spots include Miya's townhouse on Rua Padre Carvalho, Chou's courtyard grill, and the duo of Gnomo and Nomo in Sumarezinho, as Pinheiros meets Vila Madalena. The collection concludes with the acclaimed Evvai and a duo of Bráz locations. Patrons find natural, biodynamic, and low-intervention wines alongside Barolo, Burgundy, and Tuscan selections from the Mazzei family.

Miya Wine Bar & Restaurante
Wine Bar · R. Padre Carvalho, 55 - Pinheiros, São Paulo - SP, 05427-000
Baixo Pinheiros, the bar-dense lower end of the neighbourhood, is where chef Flávio Miyamura revived his Miya name as a wine bar, in a townhouse on Rua Padre Carvalho with a timber deck out front and an upstairs room framed by tall wooden windows. The glass list is the draw: more than ninety wines open at once, drawn from a cellar of some four hundred bottles, and priced close to what the importer charges. That makes room for pours rarely offered by the glass, Barolo and Barbaresco, Brunello, Bordeaux and Burgundy among them, alongside Champagne, Rhône Syrah, German Riesling, Rioja and a run of Argentine Malbec. Miyamura's kitchen keeps pace with small plates such as his tuna tostada and a katsu sando. Sharing a roof with a wine shop, it rewards the curious drinker. A second glass is rarely a hard decision here.

Gnomo
Restaurant · R. Rodesia, 206 - Sumarezinho, São Paulo - SP, 05435-020
On a leafy corner of Sumarezinho, where it shades into Vila Madalena, Gnomo is the small wine-bar sibling of Nomo, the restaurant next door on Rua Harmonia. Sommelier Patrícia Werneck, co-owner of both, built the list, and it leans firmly towards natural, biodynamic and low-intervention bottles from small growers, with sparkling, white, orange and red all represented. The glass selection is generous for a room this size, and the menu notes are written with a wink, which makes lining up two or three pours side by side feel like play rather than homework. Chef Nando Carneiro sends over snacks built to sit beside them. There are only a handful of stools indoors. On warm evenings the crowd drifts onto the tree-lined pavement, glass in hand, and that is exactly the idea. Every visit seems to turn up a new producer.

Bráz Quintal Alto de Pinheiros
Restaurant · Av. São Gualter, 679 - Alto de Pinheiros, São Paulo - SP, 05455-001
Set among gardens planted with more than fifty native species, the Alto de Pinheiros Bráz Quintal fills a 2,000-square-metre site on Avenida São Gualter that was home to Restaurante Ilha for over three decades. It opened in 2025 and is the most expansive address in the Bráz pizzeria family, built for long evenings outdoors under the trees. What sets it apart for wine drinkers is the first Enoteca Mazzei outside Italy, housed on site and marking a partnership with the Tuscan family that began in 2015. Expect Chianti Classico from Castello di Fonterutoli, Maremma reds from Belguardo and Sicilian bottles from Zisola, plus the house Mazzei per Bráz wines by the glass. Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon broadens the choice. Pizza is the anchor, including a Quintal special topped with taleggio, asparagus and prosciutto. Sangiovese and a wood-fired crust remain a very happy match.

Chou
Restaurant · R. Mateus Grou, 345 - Pinheiros, São Paulo - SP, 05415-050
Two blocks from the bustle of Rua dos Pinheiros, Chou occupies a small house whose real asset is the courtyard behind it: plants, trees, strings of little lights and a herb garden scenting the air. It has been part of the neighbourhood for more than fifteen years, and chef Gabriela Barretto's kitchen opens for dinner only. The grill sits at the centre of her kitchen, turning out the day's fish with harissa or aged rib-eye with chimichurri, while mezze-style small plates are designed for sharing. Wine has always been the first drink here, and the list is chosen by a sommelier with the same care as the produce. Its sympathies lie with organic, biodynamic, natural and low-intervention growers, so smoky, charred flavours meet bright, lively bottles. It suits a slow, candlelit evening for two or a table of friends. The garden does the rest.

Nomogamia
Restaurant · Rua Harmonia, 815 - Sumarezinho, São Paulo - SP, 05435-000
Behind a plant-covered façade on Rua Harmonia, Nomo is a compact, glass-fronted restaurant built around an open kitchen, where chef Nando Carneiro cooks contemporary, vegetable-forward dishes meant for the middle of the table. Braised cabbage with muhammara and dukkah is typical of his style. The wine is in the hands of sommelier and co-owner Patrícia Werneck, whose short list changes constantly and favours small producers over familiar names, with a handful of exclusive pours rotated each week. Cool-climate thinking runs through it: Burgundy and Jura, Loire Chenin Blanc, German Riesling, Rhône Grenache, plus detours to Portugal, Italy and South Africa, often from biodynamic or low-intervention growers. The aim is to widen a drinker's repertoire rather than confirm it. Gnomo, the pair's wine bar, is a few steps away. Few rooms in the area pair cooking and cellar this closely.

Restaurante Evvai
Restaurant · R. Joaquim Antunes, 108 - Pinheiros, São Paulo - SP, 05415-000
Italian São Paulo, reimagined through a Brazilian lens, is the subject at Evvai on Rua Joaquim Antunes in Pinheiros, where chef Luiz Filipe Souza serves a single tasting menu he calls Oriundi, after the descendants of Italian immigrants. This is one of the most complete dining experiences in the city, a verdict the Michelin Guide echoed with three stars in 2026. Wine carries equal weight. Sommelier Marcelo Fonseca, named sommelier of the year by the Michelin Guide in 2025, builds each season's pairings along two contrasting lines: one of Old World classics, the other of Brazilian discoveries. The wider list reaches from Barolo and Barbaresco to small producers across Italy, with Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne alongside and organic bottles in the mix. Pairings range from an accessible flight to a prestige selection. It is a special-occasion table, and the cellar rises to it.

Bráz Trattoria Pinheiros
Restaurant · R. dos Pinheiros, 412 - Pinheiros, São Paulo - SP, 05422-000
At the corner of Rua dos Pinheiros and Rua Dr. Virgílio de Carvalho Pinto, the Bráz Trattoria takes the famous pizzeria's name somewhere broader. Since opening in 2024 it has served handmade pasta, risotto and grilled meats alongside the pizzas, with carbonara in three versions and a 900-gram bistecca alla fiorentina for sharing. Some 140 seats spread across the dining room, a counter and pavement tables that welcome dogs. Wine follows a Tuscan thread. The backbone comes from the Mazzei family of Tuscany, including the house Mazzei per Bráz red, a Sangiovese blend, and a Vermentino white made for the group and poured by the glass. Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon covers those after something bigger. Lunch runs every day, which makes it an easy midweek stop. Simple Tuscan reds and Italian cooking rarely go wrong together.
